The one-shot DM

Send it to anyone who likes or comments on your posts, or who's just connected. Swap the highlighted bits for each person.

Hey [FIRST NAME], I'm just about to head out the door for a run and wanted to send this before I forget.

I saw you [liked / commented on] my post about [TOPIC] (or: thanks for connecting!), so I thought I'd properly introduce myself.

I'm Travis. I run the AI side at Enterprise Monkey, down in Geelong. We run the back office for Aussie steel traders: the PODs, the carrier portals, the packing lists and the invoice checks. Your team gets back to selling tonnes.

I had a look at your profile and your website, and you reminded me of [CLIENT NAME], who I was just on a call with.

[RESULT]

It works because it's the same saving private equity gets when it buys five steel businesses and merges their back offices. We give you that saving without buying anyone.

It took me a couple of years buying and selling businesses to see where the time and the margin really go.

Right now we've got an offer where [THE OFFER].

As you can imagine, the carrier portals aren't a big fan of us haha.

Anyway, I really have to go or my coach will have my head.

Happy to walk you through how it works. I've got [TIME 1] or [TIME 2] free tomorrow?

If not, no biggie at all. Happy to just send you my AI Readiness Scorecard instead.

Nice to meet you!

Cheers,
Travis

Before it goes live

  • The scorecard download: on your scorecard page, the orange “Download the readiness scorecard” button is part of a picture, so clicking it does nothing. Make it a real download (or a short form) before you post, so every “READY” gets the PDF.
  • Your name and town: your profile shows “- Travis R.” and Melbourne. Your full name, and Geelong if that's where you want to be found, will help steel owners trust and find you.
  • Steel or industrial: options 1, 2, 3 and 5 name steel. Option 4 keeps your current “industrial” headline. Pick the one you want to be known for.
